Guest Review: Dry Fast And Mega Last Polishes From Wet n Wild

Image
2 teal of fortunes, 1 SaGreena the Teenage Witch, 1 Disturbia (Mega Last), 1 Blue Wants to Be A Millionaire, 1 Saved by the Blue, 2 Teal Or No Teals. Hey girls! So Friday I got a shipment from Wet n Wild, that contained 8 nail polishes (shown above). Yes, I got the polishes for free, for review, no that does not taint my review what so ever. My reviews are my honest opinion and I'd never change that because of a free product. So I'm going to start with the Fast Dry polishes, they sent me 7 of them, and what I noticed as soon as I put them on was that they did not smell. Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed with some fast dry nail polishes from other companies, that they were just repulsive! With the Fast Dry polishes, they have no nasty odor, and the application is flawless, the brush gives you a very smooth coat. I couldn't believe the pigmentation too, only one maybe two coats gives you amazing vibrant color. Wet n Wild also sent me one Mega L...

Opal Stevens' Beauty Blogger of the Week: Judi

Image
I'm very excited to announce this week's "Beauty Blogger of the Week" - the beautiful and super adorable Judi! I absolutely love reading all her posts, especially her FOTDs! Everyone should definitely check out her blog My Tongue Split the Hemisphere .  How did you get started blogging? I’ve had personal blogs online since 2002. I’ve written everywhere from diaryland to livejournal to my own domain.  However, I only started beauty blogging this past month.  I had a strong desire to write about the things I was discovering and loving, and I wanted a home for all of the FOTD’s I was taking.  At first I was just sharing these things on twitter, but 140 characters is just not enough! Beauty trend you love? I love the coral trend this summer! Coral lips or coral blush, it looks good on a surprising number of people. Favorite fashion trend? I love seeing other people mix prints, particularly stripes and floral.  I tend to wear a...

My June Favorites!

Monthly favorites posts are so much fun! It's crazy how much your face and hair care routines, clothing choices, and music tastes can change in just one short month. It also helps prove that I go shopping way too often :D So, here's my list - enjoy!  Beckham Signature for Women : I'm obsessed with this perfume and I've pretty much worn it every day of June! It has a really refreshing and sweet scent. I especially love the fact that I got it more than half off the retail price at TJ Maxx. Fragrance notes:  Candy apple, Patchouli, Musk, Vanilla, Heliotrope, Anise flower, Amber, Orchid. Sun In Hair Lightener : I've seen this several times at different stores, but I finally got the guts to actually try it out. I'm actually really impressed! It definitely brought out some nice natural looking highlights. It wasn't harsh at all and the main ingredients are water, hydrogen peroxide, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, and lemon juice. It's heat activated...

Guest Post: Battle of the Crackle Nail Polishes

Image
By: Whitney at Elemental Styles Hey everyone! I’ve been really busy finishing up school lately but ever since Opal asked me a few weeks ago to do a guest post I've been racking my brain on what I could possibly talk about! I was going to do another “What’s in your Bag” post, but then I ran across a total of five different displays of crackle nail polishes while I was out yesterday and thought I’d do a little comparison for you all! Most recent sighting at Walgreens: Pure ICE Crackles! Icing has jumped on the bandwagon, too! Now I’m only going to compare three different brands for you today: OPI, China Glaze, and Burst Crackles, but there’s a ton of others out there with even more varieties of colors if you don’t want to pay OPI or China Glaze prices! Sally Hansen has their Crackle Overcoat polishes in 8 different colors including silver and gold, ICE has their Crackle Nail Effects in a whole bunch of colors that you can ...
