Hello Girls!

First and foremost I would like to introduce myself.... My name is MARLA. I am a sixteen year old girl living in a small town and I am totally obsessed with makeup :) I have a blog called Makeup By Marla (creative right? ha ha) and I do different posts on makeup related things. I feel honored to get the chance to be featured on Opal Stevens and I also am really happy I got the chance to share a NYE makeup look with all of you. :)

As we inch closer to the new year it's a great to reminisce at some of the style high points of 2011! Crazy Hair Colors:  Katy Perry went pink, Charlotte Free went pink, Lady Gaga went pink. I got the opportunity to ask her a few questions about acne scarring and the treatment options that are available for those suffering from acne scarring.  Why does acne scarring occur? When acne occurs, it is accompanied by an inflammatory response which injures the skin. This injured area of skin then undergoes wound repair in which the body produces scar tissue (collagen) to heal the wound. Although, the body replaces injured tissue with the same type of tissue (collagen) that is present in normal tissue, scar tissue lays down collagen in a  different and inferior manner compared to normal tissue collagen.
