Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions:   MORNING BURST ®  Fruit Infusions ™  uses the goodness of fruit for vibrant, healthy-looking skin. Our Hydrating Facial Cleanser contains real fruit extracts from pineapple, coconut, and açaí. These exotic fruits are ripe with vitamins and antioxidants leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. The exotic scent of pineapple and coconut refreshes your senses, while real strawberry seeds massage your skin to reveal your most vibrant, healthy skin.   I'm so glad they came out with cleansers that actually smell good! I've seen three different types: Pineapple, Mandarin Orange, and Pomegranate (but I think the pineapple smells the best). The pineapple is their hydrating cleanser, so it's good if you have dry and/or sensitive skin.  Plus White 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel:   Contains a bleaching ingredient for fast and effective whitening that is non-abrasive to your enamel. I can't believe I've never ment...

Scruples' Silk Control Blow Dry Elixir Review

Image
Blow drying my hair is always a pain. I usually just let it air dry and then straighten because blow drying does nothing to my unmanageable and frizz-prone hair. I didn't have much hope for Scruples' Silk Control Blow Dry Elixir , but I must say that I'm very impressed! I've tried so many different products that say they'll give you the perfect "blow out," but none so far had succeeded.... but that was before this stuff!!! It made my hair so soft, smooth, straight, light, and full of volume. I love, love, love this stuff. I think it is by far one of the best hair product I have ever tried (no lie).  Rich, smooth formula seals down hair's cuticle while providing support for complete styling control on any hair type Light-weight formula helps hair maintain volume with incredible reflection Contains panthenol and vitamin E to help keep hair healthy and energized For use on all hair types How to use:  Work evenly through damp hair and proceed wi...

My June Favorites!

Monthly favorites posts are so much fun! It's crazy how much your face and hair care routines, clothing choices, and music tastes can change in just one short month. It also helps prove that I go shopping way too often :D So, here's my list - enjoy!  Beckham Signature for Women : I'm obsessed with this perfume and I've pretty much worn it every day of June! It has a really refreshing and sweet scent. I especially love the fact that I got it more than half off the retail price at TJ Maxx. Fragrance notes:  Candy apple, Patchouli, Musk, Vanilla, Heliotrope, Anise flower, Amber, Orchid. Sun In Hair Lightener : I've seen this several times at different stores, but I finally got the guts to actually try it out. I'm actually really impressed! It definitely brought out some nice natural looking highlights. It wasn't harsh at all and the main ingredients are water, hydrogen peroxide, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, and lemon juice. It's heat activated...

Sparklehearts Review

Image
Sparklehearts is the beauty baby of BFF's Hillary Orr & Darcy McMahon. Once these glamour gals discovered that 60% of EVERYTHING you put on your skin is absorbed into your body- yikes - they decided they only wanted completely natural beauty boosters. When they couldn't find products that lived up to their super standards, they did what any smart, savvy, product-loving princesses would do. They created Sparklehearts .  Sparklehearts ALL natural make-up, bath and beauty products give you the glam you want without the icky extras of toxins and chemicals.  Say Ta-Ta to Tangles Sparklehearts Detangler removes rebellious tangles and seals in shiner for happy, healthy hair. - Amazing antioxidants, green tea and sage extracts prevent damage and repair hair - Nettle extract obliterates oily build-up and gives dandruff the brush-off - Willow bark removes shine-stealing residue My Thoughts:  I wash my hair every other day, so I've bee...

12 Best and Worst Summer Hair Care Products

Image
Summertime is an invitation for a more lackadaisical approach to hair care (hallelujah!). It means maybe letting bangs grow into a long cheek-bone-length layer; not being in curly or wavy hair denial anymore (well, at least for a few months anyway) by skipping the blow dryer and letting hair air-dry; rocking summer-appropriate updos and braids; getting beach hair from actually going to the beach; and covering up three-day unwashed hair with hats and scarves. But with this season also comes certain hair hazards like chlorine, UV rays, salt water and humidity -- all which can lead to pool-hair, fried scalps and frizzy, dried out hair.  See the best and worst summer hair care products now.

Keratin Hair Treatments: The Answer to All My Problems?

Image
The quest for perfect hair seems like a never ending battle. Products everywhere claim that they will solve all your hair problems, but I have yet to find one that actually will (if you happen to know of one, please tell me :D.) But there is a new process that has caught my eye... keratin hair treatments. What do keratin hair treatments do? Keratin hair treatments involve a process that can get rid of up to 99% of frizz, straighten hair, make hair soft & shiny, and protect the hair from toxins like UV rays, smoke, & pollution. How does this process do it? Wow! This really does seem like the end to my hair battle? Well, keratin is what hair (and nails) are naturally made up of. When we use styling tools, expose hair to chemical processes and toxins in the environment, the keratin in your hair becomes less effective at its job (keeping your hair strong and looking healthy.) Where can I get it and how much will it hurt my wallet? You can get it at a salon and it shou...
